If you just want to go a certain distance then you can buy a regular ticket, either in advance or directly on the train.

Tickets & Seat reservation

If you only want to travel with Inlandsbanan for a certain section of the railway, the easiest way is to buy a single ticket. If you need help with connecting trains in Sweden, we are happy to assist you with this.

Ticket

If you only wish to travel on a certain section of Inlandsbanan, you can buy a single ticket. The price depends on how far you are planning to travel. When you book a ticket advance, a seat ticket is included in the price. If you buy a ticket on board, a seat ticket is not included in the price.
 

Seat reservation

A seat reservation is not obligatory, but is recommended if you want to be sure of a seat. This is especially the case in peak season, when certain stretches may be fully booked. The price for a seat reservation is SEK 50 per day.  A seat reservation is only valid in conjunction with a valid ticket, Inlandsbanan Card or Interrail Card.
